Reuse your cell phone for fun and profit

Reuse is the most virtuous of the 11 R’s. Narrowly edging out Ridicule and Recycle. In the spirit of reusing and making some cash at the same time, this site may be a good resource. Cell For Cash buys your old cell phone and resells it to some other sucker. It’s pretty slick really when you see how easy they make it. To quote their FAQ,

• Users find their phone in the list of phones we accept,
• Submit their personal information,
• Send their phone back using the box and prepaid shipping label we provide,
• We verify that the phone is what the customer says it is.
• Then we’ll send them check.

The whole process takes about 45-60 days.

Prices change daily but they typically range from just a few dollars to well over $100 depending on the model.

If someone has used this site, or is going to try it now, please let me know how it goes. It seems like a good deal. My current phone is listed as being worth $21, which I take to mean that I should buy a new one. I even got greedy enough to make the link below a referral link so I get $5 if someone uses the site. Don’t worry, I’m sufficiently ashamed already.
