What is up with Earth Day?

I’m having one hell of a time finding any decent Earth Day events and the lackluster earthday.org site is no help at all. I’m looking for an event in London as I’ll still be on the road that weekend, but as of yet have found sweet nothing. If anyone knows a good Earth Day event guide, share it up please.

Or is Earth Day a North American type of thing only?

    I wish I could help, Shawn. I think it would help if it weren’t celebrated by different people on different days. The founder, John McConnell, and his camp, want to continue celebrating it on the vernal Equinox. Wikipedia has a pretty interesting accounting of the origins of both celebrated days.
